Microsoft Word (2000, XP, 2003 & 2007)

Our IT training can take several forms including one-to-one, small groups and classroom sessions.

Although these are all useful in their own way, we highly recommend one-to-one coaching at your place of work, which brings several key benefits. You can ask any questions you want, you can work at your level of expertise and your speed, and any improvements we generate are still on the PC when the trainer leaves.

Wherever possible we’ll work with files you use to do your job, and use them as the focal point for the training. For example, if you're having difficulty formatting a Word document we’ll work together to improve it.

What's Word used for?

Word is part of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. You would use it to produce letters, reference material, notices - anything that falls into the "document" category really.

The ideal delegate is:

Someone with little or no experience of using Word. Alternatively, they've been using Word for a while but feel they have started off on the wrong tack, and would like to go back to basics.

The training will also suit delegates with a working knowledge of Word, but who have the need to design more complex documents - letters, reports, tenders, proposals. The training encourages the use of keyboard shortcuts in order to make the user more proficient, and the output more accurate.

An extensive range of topics can be covered including:

Text selection and formatting
Template design
Copying and moving text
Page and section breaks; Headers and footers

Please note that this list of topics isn't exhaustive. If there's something not shown that you're interested in please get in touch and we'll do our very best to help.
